Prepare for a rewarding career helping patients breathe easier through New England Tech’s Respiratory Care Pathway Program. Eligible participants may qualify for full tuition coverage.

Through immersive classroom instruction, clinical experiences, and hands-on laboratory training, students gain the skills needed to assess, treat, and care for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.

Respiratory Therapists play a critical role in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. Working alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, they provide life-saving care in emergency, critical care, and rehabilitation settings while helping patients of all ages improve their quality of life. Graduates are prepared for careers in hospitals, emergency departments, intensive care units, rehabilitation facilities, sleep centers, and home healthcare settings.

In our program you’ll master the skills to:

  • Assess patients with cardiopulmonary disorders and develop appropriate care plans
  • Initiate, monitor, and modify respiratory care treatment plans and critical care activities based on the patient’s therapeutic goals.
  • Manipulate and manage respiratory care equipment while maintaining the appropriate infection and quality control standards.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving strategies in the adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient care settings.
  • Consult with physicians, nurses, and other patient care team members to develop and modify individual respiratory care plans.
