The Phlebotomy Pathway Program at New England Institute of Technology prepares students with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to collect blood specimens safely and accurately in a variety of healthcare settings. Eligible participants may qualify for full tuition coverage.

As vital members of the healthcare team, phlebotomy technicians play an important role in patient care and diagnostic testing. Often among the first healthcare professionals patients encounter, they combine technical expertise with professionalism to ensure a positive patient experience. Graduates of this program may transition from unemployment or minimum-wage positions into entry-level healthcare careers while building a foundation for future advancement in the healthcare field.

In our program you’ll master the skills to:

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Properly label, process, and transport laboratory specimens
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Demonstrate professionalism and patient-centered care

Requirements & Eligibility

  1. Participants must:
    -Be a resident of Rhode Island or working in a Rhode Island healthcare facility AND be willing to work in Rhode Island after program completion
    -Pass our Admission requirements for the program (ACCU)
  2. Participants are required to attend one mandatory virtual information session.
    Future information sessions will be announced.

Program Cost
