New England Institute of Technology instructor Amy D’Andrea recently had the privilege of speaking at the annual American Veterinary Medical Association’s (AVMA) conference in Chicago, IL.
The AVMA is one of the premier veterinary conferences in the country, with a yearly conference being held for members each summer.
The topics that Amy spoke on were Canine and Feline CPR and First aid, Helping Clients Develop an Emergency Plan for their Pets, Field Assessment for the Pet Emergency, and two wet labs on CPR certification.
Speaking about her experience, Amy said, “It was an amazing experience as I was able to network with many other veterinarians and technicians from around the country as well as learn some of the most current medical practices in my field allowing me to update some of the information I am presenting to my students in class. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to attend.”
