New England Tech Graduates First Welding Engineering Technology Class

Announcing our first graduates from the Welding Engineering Technology course!

Hands on welding degreesOf the five students graduating, three of the students immediately began full-time welding jobs, and the two remaining students will be continuing their education at 91Ö±²¥ in the Mechanical Engineering program.

Kate Messer was hired by in Narragansett, RI and Wayne Conant was hired by , in Providence, RI. Both students took part in an internship at their respective companies and were hired on as a result. David Bustin was hired by a major Department of Defense contractor as a Production Welder, while both Keith Chasse and Gagny Diawara are furthering their education at 91Ö±²¥ in Mechanical Engineering Technology studies.

April is National Welding Month, according to one of 91Ö±²¥’s welding instructors, Tim Kinnaman. Tim is the Deputy District 1 Director of New England and Montreal and also Chairman for Central MA and RI section of American Welding Society.  For more information, visit .
